Tag Tuesday|GRYFFINDOR!!!

Hi friends! I’m crazy excited because this month is Top 5 Tuesday’s first ever themed month!!! And yes, it’s Hogwarts House themed and today is Gryffindor which is my house and I’m dying because House Pride y’all!

ahem.

Let us get on with it before I blab to death. Don’t forget that Shanah @ Bionic Bookworm hosts this so go follow her! And to quote her description of Gryffindor…

They are experience oriented, honest, practical, blunt, passionate, playful, funny, trusting, idealistic, stubborn and procrastinators. They live in the moment, don’t take themselves seriously, are wary of manipulators and liars, have a strong moral center, and are unafraid to seize opportunities and make changes.

With that in mind, let’s start naming characters and books that embody this House!

Camellia is a definite Gryffindor. She often speaks before thinking, and can be really rash and reckless. Yet, she’ll do anything for her sisters and those she loves! Also she’s super stubborn and honestly iconic.

Action! Fighting! Spaceships! Uh…really bravely reckless characters! This is such a Gryffindor book it’s not even funny. Everything from the plot, to the characters, to even the style of writing is so perfect.

Eelyn is awesome. She’ll beat you up with her Viking axe one minute and then be showing emotional vulnerability the next. And ya know what? That’s how you make a well-rounded character. She’s brave but also real and honest! And she’s always open to change.

Okay, I literally just picked this because I wanted to show off the new covers*. Katniss is known for being brave and brash and stubborn, all traits of a Gryffindor!

*especially Catching Fire because holy crap that is gorgeous

I may not have read this yet but we all know it’s going to have Nikolai in it and really, can you get any more Gryffindor than that???
