Hi friends! It’s February aka The Month of Valentine’s Day. And since I’m married to my books, what better way to celebrate than by reading new releases*???
*the answer is there’s no better way. Chocolate and flowers have got nothing on this!
also can we just cry over how many amazing books are coming out this year???
Dark of the West by Joanna Hathaway | So this sounds like it has buckets of political intrigue??? And the cover just screams “RICH FANTASY LUSH WORLD” at me and I mean who am I to deny the pull.
On The Come Up by Angie Thomas | New book from the author of that one book that got turned into a movie and rocked the world and rules the New York Times Bestseller List? Is anyone truly surprised this is on my list*.
*that was definitely a rhetorical question
Enchantée by Gita Trelease | I’ve technically already read this but eh. I may not have given this the highest rating ever but I still enjoyed it. And I kinda want to see the cover in person (what?)
Stolen Time by Danielle Rollins | I’M IN LOVE WITH THIS COVER. But good time travel books are rare. It’s very tough to balance all the plot-lines and loopholes that come with it, but I think that this book shows a lot of promise!
The Deceivers by Kristen Simmons | I’m telling you, decent YA mysteries are hard to come by. So every time a new one is hyped, I cautiously reach for my library card. So fingers crossed!
Nevermind this cover has my heart now. Apparently this has perfume-based magic and poison and secrets and AHHHH I WANT THIS NOW.
I technically have also already read this (whoops) but I can’t wait for y’all to read it too! So then we can just fangirl about it together because HOLY CRAP THAT ENDING.
Tarot by Marissa Kennerson | I’m NOT feeling this cover…but that synopsis is killing me with it’s intrigue!
Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte | So if you remember, I did a first impressions post a while back where I read an excerpt of the first 60 pages and IT WAS SOO GOOD. Murder mystery! Fantasy! Together forever! No matter how long! Now until the end of time*! So yeah.
*i uh…got a little carried away with remembering Pikachu’s Jukebox
An Affair of Poisons by Addie Thorley |This is literally just a post about me freaking out about poison. No wonder I don’t read much contemporary.
Warrior of the Wild by Tricia Levenseller | If you know me, you know I’m Sky in the Deep trash. So more Viking stories??? UM YES PLEASE.
So that’s it! Which of these are you most anticipating? Any I should know about?
