Tag Tuesday: Favorite Characters A-E!

Hi friends! I’m super excited for September’s Top 5 Tuesday picks! Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads hosts it now, and we’re doing favorite characters for each letter of the alphabet!

Alice

Alice is the pinnacle of a main character for me. Her manner of wit is so strange. She just rides with the nonsense and takes it in stride after a while. And that’s what I love about her: her cuiroosity and longing for the whimsical. Because I mean, same.

Blue

Blue is so unique. She doesn’t give a crap about what others think about her. Also, her banter with Gansey??? HER BANTER WITH RONAN????? Easily one of the best characters ever to grace YA.

Cardan

Cardan is a tour de force of a character. If you’ve been around for a while, you know that I m Cardan and Jude trash*. The Slytherin chemistry is just yes and yes. I also absolutely adore Cardan’s deveopment over the course of the series so yeah.

*you also might know that i am shadowhunter trash and freaks out over cookie dough so yeah

DeMarco

DeMarco has actually grown on me from the beginning of this book. I love his complexity, the subtle romance of his character. I can’t wait to see him in the sequel!

Elias

I LOVE ELIAS. His inner struggles, his identity crises, and his heart are just…everything. A Sky Beyond The Storm better treat him well or else.

That’s it! I truly hope you all enjoyed this post!

  1. I love Alice!!! She’s such a fun character, with a lot of wit and not a lot of patience for the craziness of everyone in Wonderland and it’s just great (also I think it’s such an under utilized name. Why don’t more people name they’re kid Alice?)

Yes. I chose her “in any incarnation”, as I tend to like them all. I recommend Fairyland series by Catherynne M. Valente. September gives me Alice vibes 🙂

  4. This is a really cool post! Haha, “Curiouser and curiouser.” Blue Lily, Lily Blue is such a fascinating title, and The Raven Boys is definitely on my TBR…(not because the third book in the series has such a cool title and cover…ahem).

  5. Alice and Wonderland was my absolute favourite classic as a kid – I have to admit that I still love it a scary amount. I just love the thought of another world. . . I guess that’s where my love for fantasy started!
    Awesome choices, Kaya
