great booktour websites to check out!!

Hi friends! In the wake of all the saddening events surrounding Fantastic Flying Book Tours and the upsetting things they’ve done, I’ve decided to recommend some book tour websites as great alternatives!

Hear Our Voices Book Tours!

I haven’t personally worked with them, but I’ve heard fantastic things from people who have done their tours. One of my favorite things about this book tour group is that they focus on getting OwnVoices books in the hands of OwnVoices readers! For example, in their one of their recent signups for The Blazewrath Games, they state that they’re specifically looking for people who identify as Puerto Rican. I adore this company, because not only are marginalized authors getting their book out into the world, but POC and minority readers are getting to share their thoughts on books that directly reflect them.

MTMC Tours!

This is run by Paper Fury and The Reader and The Chef over on Instagram. They don’t have a ton of tours, but the ones they do have are excellent. Most are international (Cait @ Paper Fury lives in Australia and Melissa @ The Reader and The Chef is Mexican*) and I did a tour with them before! They’re well organized and very kind. I would highly recommend checking them out!

*earlier, i stated that she was australian, which she is not, my deepest apologies for this error on my part💜

Storygram Tours!

This is definitely Instagram-focused* but I know a lot of bloggers also have bookstagram accounts, so I thought it was worth mentioning! They have tours for a lot of popular upcoming books, but also underhyped sequels and debuts. This is a great option for people who like to focus on Instagram!

*i’m uh…not as consistent with insta as i wish *cough cough*

Caffeine Book Tours!

I haven’t personally worked with this company yet, but this is another case of hearing how the person who runs it is super kind and sweet, and wants to foster a healthy environment in this aspect of the book world. This is also run by a POC, and priority is given to OwnVoices readers for the specific book, and to international readers!! Again, I am all for supporting and prioritizing minority influencers/readers while helping authors and publishers!

That’s it! I hope this was helpful in some way hehe. See you guys!

    1. Oh! So a book tour company basically gets a certain amount of ARCS or e-ARCS or finished copies from the publisher, and the company will then have bloggers/reviewers/bookstagrammers sign up to read the book and post on a certain date! That can be anything from a review, to a playlist, to an interview! And IKR!
