Tag Tuesday: Top 5 Hyped Books On My TBR!

Hi friends! Continuing in the hyped vein of last week, today’s Top 5 Tuesday hosted by Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads focuses on hype of the TBR.

I technically DNF’d Vicious even though it’s a temporary DNF. However, something about this book just calls to me. Also, I’ve heard that this is beautiful and artsy and romantic. I almost feel as if due to the sheer hype of this book, it’ll make or break V.E. Schwab for me.

A Romeo + Juliet retelling set in Shanghai with gangs. I know lots of people were disappointed by this one but a lot of people are obsessed and I need to know why!!

This series is SO hyped. Sometimes, I want to hide in a hole and throw emerald leaves at everyone who comes near me praising this book because I know it’ll be brutal. I also know that I’ll probably love it.

Beauty and the Beast is a fascinating fairy-tale that’s been done countless times. Therefore, retellings have to be unique and memorable to carve out their own path among the others. The Cursebreakers series has been very much hyped up, and I’m genuinely scared I won’t like it at this point.

This has been hyped up but it’s also had several mixed reviews. I love magical schools but I do get easily bored. My patience is shorter than a stick of butter. So hopefully I end up loving this one!

That’s it! Have you read any of these? What’s a hyped book on your TBR?

  1. I made it over halfway through Addie LaRue before setting it aside. It’s definitely a departure from Schwab’s usual writing so you may end up really liking it! It was just slow for me but I do plan to finish it someday.

  2. I hope you like The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. I just finished it today and it was beautiful! Hopefully, maybe you’ll enjoy it. Btw, the reason I read the book was because it was hyped and so many people liked it😂.
