Tag Tuesday” Top 5 “Main Males”! | In Which I Realize I Don’t Read Many Books With Male Main Characters whoops

Hi friends! Today’s topic for Top 5 Tuesday (hosted by Shanah!) is all about main male characters. Which led me to realize that I don’t read many books with boy main characters anymore asdfghjkl. I DON’T KNOW WHY THAT’S HAPPENED DON’T COME FOR ME OKAY. I promise, I’ll try to do better*. So let me just try to redeem myself right now.

*i’m probably going to forget that promise in 3…2…1…

So technically Nikolai shares the spotlight with Vika but it’s fine he’s the one who really stole the show. Nikolai is an enchanter with ridiculously unique magic which I want to use for myself and he’s just so interesting and sweet and ugh.

Percy’s perspective is probably the singular reason why this is my favorite Uncle Rick series ever*. He’s funny and loyal and his inner monologue makes me want to constantly roll on the floor laughing. Which isn’t much different from how I normally am, now that I think about it.

*wait hold on it’s tied with the Kane Chronicles I almost forgot whoops

AUGUST AND JACK JUST NEED TO BE PROTECTED OKAY. I volunteer as tribute to bring them cookies every week. They’re both such wonderfully developed characters who would do anything for each other. Actual kings.

Adrian also shares the spotlight with Nova but he also holds my heart because HE’S SO PURE AND ADORABLE AND SWEET AND SLIGHTLY FRUSTRATING. I’m grinning like an idiot just thinking about him so if that doesn’t tell you how much I love him, I don’t know what will.

How could I forget Kaz Brekker, my favorite morally ambiguous Slytherin??? He’s special I love him to death and have ranted about him enough in the past few posts asdfghjkl.
