Hi friends! I’m back with a book tag, because it’s been a while since I did one. And considering the CRAZY hype around The Wicked King right now (yes that hype I’m currently feeding into) I figured this would be a great one to do! I was tagged by the lovely creator Xandra! So go follow her if you haven’t already! And just as a side note, all of these beautiful graphics are hers! and yes I did in fact accidentally post this last week and then somewhat quickly retracted it so if this looks familiar…that’s because I am a … Continue reading The Folk of the Air Book Tag!
Hi friends! Today, we’re going to be doing another Tag Tuesday and the topic is character driven books! I’m not exactly sure what qualifies a book as character driven so I’m instead I’m going to pick books where the characters are a huge focus. Shanah @ Bionic Bookworm hosts Top 5 Tuesday, so go check her blog out! The Raven Cycle by Maggie Steifvater Despite not loving this series, I do adore the characters! Without Blue and her Raven Boys, I’d have DNF’d it a long time ago. Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate Richard Campbell Gansey III? … Continue reading Tag Tuesday: Top 5 Character Driven Books
Hi friends! I’m here for a Top 10 Tuesday post, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl so go check her blog out. Today’s topic is all in celebration of The Fourth of July! Happy birthday, America! Without further ado, let’s get on … Continue reading Tag Tuesday: Top 10 Books With Red, White, And Blue Covers
Hi, friends! I’m excited to be participating in Top 5 Tuesday this week, it seems like so much fun! It’s hosted by Shanah @ Bionic Bookworm. Today’s topic is Summertime Reads, and I’m slightly regretting the amount of contemporaries I’ve read (probably like five in my entire life) so we’ll see how this goes. The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan The Kane Chronicles aren’t as popular as the Percy Jackson series, but I love them all the same! Because it’s a fun adventure that’s not too dark, I’d say this is a great series to add to your summer TBR pile! Geekerella by … Continue reading Tag Tuesday: Summertime Reads
Um…can someone tell me how the mint chocolate chip we’re already halfway through 2018?! I’m in shock. Anyway, in honor of me finally catching up with reality, I’ve decided to do this tag! I first saw it over at Hammock of Books so go check her amazing blog out! Just as a note, I’m not going to repeat books (I might repeat a series or two) otherwise you’ll basically see my faves in every. Single. Category. So let’s go! Best Book You’ve Read So Far This Year? Clockwork Angel is so freaking amazing I just can’t even. Will, Jem, Tessa, all those … Continue reading Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag
Hi friends! I’ve decided to participate in Top 5 Tuesday, hosted by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm. This week she’s having a surgery so there’s no topic but I decided to just go with an earlier June one! The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer The Lunar Chronicles is a much-loved series, and one of my absolute all time favorites. The plot is fast-paced, the characters are wonderfully developed, and the retelling details can be subtle or obvious. One of the best parts about this series is despite the cyborg mechanic and the space(ish) setting, its never bogged down by technalities. So good! … Continue reading Tag Tuesday: Top 5 Science Fiction
So I LOVE Doctor Who. Or at least, I love the David Tennant and Matt Smith incarnations but that’s definitely not the point. Anyway, when I saw this tag I just had to do it even though I wasn’t tagged so without further ado, let us get on with it! All credit goes to becoming bookish so go check her blog out. And please excuse the fangirling! The Classics: A classic book that still fits into YA literature I’ve got to go with Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. Such a timely tale of family, friendship, and romance only grows more applicable and precious with time! … Continue reading Doctor Who Book Tag
