Tag Tuesday: Completed Series That I Wish Had More Books!

I’m going to be honest: this list might not have ten series, because I’m usually satisfied with the amount of books in a series. Besides, we live in an age of sequels and reboots and remakes. Sometimes, you just get a little tired. But there are a few exceptions, and that’s why I’m doing today’s Top 10 Tuesday topic, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl!

As far as I know (and as far as Google knows because we share information) Legendborn is a duology. But I want more Selwyn Kane, so I’m concluding that that is unacceptable and making this my official declaration of needing more books in this series.

Okay, I wouldn’t trade Once Upon A Broken Heart for the world. That spinoff series gifted us with the lovable Evangeline, and even better: more pagetime for the cruelly beautiful Prince of Hearts*. However, I would have loved to see more magical wonders, more “is it real or not real?” in the form of Caraval games. They’re just so fun!

I actually enjoyed the first two books in this series…and then the last two came out. So you’re probably wondering why I’d want more books in this series. Well, the answer is that I think that this series has so much potential. If Audrey Rose were just a little smarter, and everyone was a little less focused on romance and more on the murders happening around them*, I think that more books in this series would be super fun!

*i’m not being mean okay. if you’re going somewhere dangerous, YOU TELL PEOPLE WHERE YOU’RE GOING. also, don’t just flirt with some guy for no reason!!! i hate to break it to you but that’s what we non-detectives call cheating!!!

I haven’t even finished this series technically and I want more books in this world. I want more ghosts! More banter! More discovering of Lucy’s powers! Most importantly: I want more Lockwood/Lucy moments!!!!!!!!!

Two books are just not enough Kaz Brekker content to keep me happy for an entire lifetime. I don’t think I’m asking for too much here? Also, I miss everyone else too so yeah.

Guys, I’m sorry but 21 books and counting just isn’t enough for me. We need more sequels! Sequels set in Antarctica! Remakes set in New Jersey! Reboots set in Elf Land! And a finale that surpasses all others, where the demigods of Camp Half-Blood and the Shadowhunters of Alicante come together just to witness the greatest fight of all time: Percy Jackson and Jace Herondale having a sass-off.

So that’s it! To be honest, most series have the right number of books. Either that or they’re already getting direct spin-offs and sequels! Tell me: what’s a completed series that you wish were getting another book?
