I have come to a brand new, sparkling realization: I actually don’t mind people on the covers of books, when they’re done right. YA books especially have mastered this art and I’m excited to talk about some of my favorites! And that’s why I’m doing today’s Top 10 Tuesday topic, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl!
I’m not obsessed with the new Lunar Chronicles paperback covers, you are. Seriously though, these new covers are EVERYTHING. I know nothing about digital art and graphic design but wow…these have got to hit it out of the park.
Back to admiring this cover, because surely we haven’t done it enough! There are technically two people on this cover and while I don’t know their names…I forgot what I was going to say because I scrolled back up. This cover really just makes me speechless (and thoughtless).
Actually, Axie Oh must have the BEST luck with people on the cover of her books because dang, both of them hit it out of the park.
Following the “romantic pose” trend, A Far Wilder Magic is one of the most beautiful, woodsy covers I’ve ever seen. I love it.
2022 truly is the year of beautiful covers, because WOW. If only I could be drawn on a book cover with colorful fish circling me. It’s the dream.
WOW. OBSESSED. I have no words.
Bree and Selwyn Kane (I don’t know why but I always have to say his last name. It’s much too cool not to). LOOK AT THESE LEGENDS AND THESE JEDI/SITH* COVERS.
*before i remembered that the official star wars lingo is sith, i called it the jedi/dark side covers. it says a lot about who’s more memorable tbh
This cover will forever be one of the most jaw-dropping in existence and I will die on that hill.
These last two are a perfect pair. I mean, there’s something about the way they fit together so perfectly that makes you want to stare at them…forever (that came out creepier than I intended).
So that’s it! Tell me: what’s one of your favorite covers with people on the cover?
