Hi everyone! Today, I’m going to be discussing authors I haven’t read from yet! Usually, I talk about books I haven’t read yet but I thought that this was a great opportunity to feature authors instead. Top 10 Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl!

Alex Finlay is an author who has been getting a lot of steam lately for his sophomore thriller release, The Night Shift. I feel like it’s so hard to find a reliable mystery-thriller author who hits it out of the park with almost every release, so I’m excited to try out his books!

Mercedes Lackey is apparently a classic in the fantasy genre. Since I’m incredibly uncultured in the fantasy genre (and I’d like to read more adult fantasy books specifically by women!) her books have made it onto my TBR. I know she also has quite a few fairy-tale retellings which I’m excited to try out!

R.F. Kuang is publishing a new book that sounds absolutely incredible this year but I am determined to read her backlog before her new release! Like, I’ve just heard incredible things about her writing and she’s been on my list for way too long at this point.

Back to the thriller world! I’ve heard really incredible things about Alice Feeney and yet I’ve read absolutely nothing by her. I mean, I’m not really the target audience for domestic thrillers but I do like a good twist which she is known for.

Asian fantasies are literally everything (if half of my favorite fantasy books are anything to go by) and I’ve heard really fantastic things about the Jade City trilogy by Fonda Lee! I should…probably hurry up and at least start it before she releases something new.

Naomi Novik’s books have been on my TBR ever since Uprooted came out, but it’s honestly super embarrassing at this point that I still haven’t read anything by her. I mean, I love fantasy! I love magic schools! I love fairy-tale retellings! Why haven’t I read anything by her yet!

As I’m reading that blurb, I am now realizing I have no idea what a zircon is. I’m very confused. Anyways, Robin Hobb is a very prolific fantasy author who writes about ASSASSINS. And other things. I need to read a book by her soon or else my non-existent fantasy reader card will get taken away!

S.A. Chakraborty’s books have also been on my TBR for too long. I guess I just have a habit of letting authors finish out debut trilogies and then panicking when they get ready to release new books because I’m so behind?

I have heard nothing but fantastic things concerning Rebecca Ross’s writing, and yet I have read NOTHING from her. And every single one of her books has such an amazing concept!

Alix E. Harrow is another case of “an author whom I’ve heard has fantastic writing AND all of her books are right up my alley and yet I’ve read nothing from her”. I literally have not a single excuse anymore.
So that’s it! Tell me: have you read books by any of these authors? What’s an author you’ve been meaning to read a book by but haven’t yet?

Rebecca Ross 😩 you have to read that book and tell me what you think! I’ve seen a number of the same authors ppl haven’t yet read on others’ lists this week so you’re not alone 😊

People should stop writing books for like 5 years so I can catch up on my tbr

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY BOOKS AND SO MANY AUTHORS?!?!
Oh lord Poppy War
Why are we so late to the hype🥲

Great list! I’m hoping to finally read Feeney, Chakraborty and Harrow this year! I’ve had their books on my TBR for what feels like entirely too long now 🙈 I loved Novik and Kuang (although I still need to finish her series). I hope you enjoy all these authors and their books!
