Tag Tuesday: Top 5 Books With Jewels!

Because diamonds are a girl’s best friend! Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads. Also, I’ll be out of the country for the next couple of weeks, so my apologies in advance for an erratic posting schedule/comment replying!

Taking it back to my tween (does anyone even say that word anymore) years with this book! I remember very little about it except that it involves three children, a book of prophecies, and time travel! I don’t think I loved this book but it has the coolest cover.

I haven’t read this book yet but it has such a gorgeous cover!! And I’m glad that the crown of coral is accentuated by the pearls because I’m sure that it’s even more beautiful in person.

Why are the original Nancy Drew covers lowkey kinda creepy…? Like, that old lady’s eyes look so intimidating. Also Mr. Shadow Man in the background is no joke! Anyways, I’m apparently on a nostalgia trip today and wanted to highlight this book!

Oh gosh. I attempted to read this book via audiobook and almost fell asleep. The main character is almost sixteen but comes off as twelve. It felt like talking to my younger sister. And the plot wasn’t really anything special, it just felt like some concepts were oversimplified. At least the cover is pretty?

I don’t want to talk about this book because I’m incredibly ashamed that I haven’t read it yet. On the bright side, I finally made my grand return to the library so perhaps the day that I read this is not far off.

So that’s it! Tell me a book with a jewel in the title or on the cover!
