Tag Tuesday: Top 5 Covers of 2021!

I really, really love this week’s topic that Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads has picked out, so I am temporarily ignoring all the book tags in my draft right now (I’ll get to them eventually!) and we’re going to talk about book covers today!

I can’t stop talking about this book. It’s literally taken over my life and maybe this is what happens when I only read 3-5 contemporaries a year but it’s just! Too! Cute! This cover somehow manages to capture the warm happiness of the book and do it in a perfectly aesthetic way too.

Let’s just take a moment to appreciate the jaw-dropping brilliance of both of these covers. I love how the US version features an Asian woman right on the front, but I also really love the fairytale color scheme of the UK one.

This is very pink and starry and magical and a POC girl is on the front so like…appreciate.

The UK edition of this book is too pretty and I need to just sit and enjoy it. I’m not even sure if I want to read this book but the foiling on the physical copies does a pretty dang good job at convincing me.

The UK edition of this cover has so many beautiful, hidden details that the US does not and I’m so sad. Even without all the fancy sprayed edges that many people did, the cover itself is downright stunning.

Anyways, all of these books deserve the world because they are dressed for war on the Met Gala. Tell me: what’s your favorite book cover of 2021?

  1. The colours in XOXO are stunning, especially with the bright title *chef’s kiss*!!
Both of the covers for Six Crimson Cranes are stunning, two of my favourites. The feel of the UK one is stunning and I love the cranes at the top 😍😍
Ahh.. Ariadne and Once Upon A Broken Heart (makes me think of sleeping beauty, the old animated opening titles) so many stunning books, you have great taste πŸ˜‰πŸ₯°

  4. There are so many stunning books lately 😍 I really love the cover of Once Upon A Broken Heart, it’s so, so stunning. I was disappointed at first that the UK cover of Six Crimson Cranes was different to the US one hut having seen it in print I adore it. Such a beautiful colour scheme 😍 my mind keeps going blank when I try to think of covers atm – even though I know I loved loads – but two that I can remember are Chain Of Iron & the new covers for the Graceling books that came out last year.

      1. I’m really excited to see what happens with the sequel cover wise as I’m sure they’ll be lots of variations around again.
I love the pastel colour theme 😍 and I think so πŸ€” now I’m doubting myself πŸ˜‚ but I think they were probably revamped to go along with the fourth book.
