Tag Tuesday: Top 5 Favorite Series Of All Time!

This topic is so hard that I’m adding a caveat*. This list will only contain series I’ve actually finished, and it has to contain at least three books. So no, Six of Crows is not on the list. At least it won’t be until it becomes a trilogy…Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads!

Huh. I just realized that I mention the same books every week. I probably should actually reread these at some point. Anyways, The Lunar Chronicles is one of my favorite series of all-time just for the characters alone. The banter! The diverse cast! The romances! The fairy-tale references! My heart cannot function!

The combination of Roman history and Middle-Eastern culture makes this book unique, suffused with romance and politics and horrible, violent humans. I adore this story of four books that absolutely broke me. There’s a lot of crying and hope contained within these many, many pages and so obviously it’s one of my favorites!

LET ME BE A BROKEN RECORD IN PEACE GUYS. The Infernal Devices will forever and always be my favorite, but I do very much love certain installments of The Mortal Instruments as well. Will, Jem, and Tessa’s story strikes a chord in me that no other series has ever come close to representing.

Okay so maybe I haven’t finished this series yet. Look, these are self-imposed rules and I have minimal willpower. I’m kinda like Kronk. But I can’t deny that this is one of the first series I followed, bought every book for, and actively found the fandom. Also, it’s just genuinely hilarious. I can’t wait to read this again and finally read the final book.

Here’s my twist for this post: the Seven Realms is honestly one of the most underrated YA series out there. The magic, worldbuilding, politics, tropes, and romance are all top tier. I really need to hurry up and move onto the spinoff series!

  3. Ahh I have read only the first book in EITA and while it did not quite meet my expectations, I do agree the settings and vibes were cool.
    Yay The Infernal Devices is a favourite of mine too! Will and Jem and the entire chemistry… Everything was soo intense and I loved it!!
    Ohk I have to go back to attending my math lecture so goodbye, loved your post!!

    I’ve read the first two series on this post and loved them. But the last three I need to get to. The infernal devices and seven realms has been on my tbr for forever 🙈 I need to experience them!! Especially TID, I need to know what everyone is talking about. Although I do know what happens to one character already 😢

  9. Oh my gosh, Roman history and Middle-Eastern culture? I NEED THESE BOOKS IN MY LIFE RIGHT NOW!!! I’ve read Cinder and Scarlet, but neither of them really lived up to the hype for me. But Marissa Meyer’s other books (Fairest and Heartless) ARE ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECES!

    Also, I just found your blog and can I just say that THE GRAPHICS AND DESIGN ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM! Looking forward to your future posts!
