Goodbye, TBR and time management.
September 7th
The Last Legacy by Adrienne Young | I’m so behind on Adrienne Young’s books but I’m still going to put them on these lists because I will read them! One day! Even though I have no clue what this is about (I haven’t read Fable so I don’t want to read spoilers in the synopsis) I’m still excited for it!
The Splendor by Breeana Shields | I’m so here for magical hotels that may or may not be evilly alluring. The Lotus Casino taught me that. Anyways, this is about a girl named Juliette who visits the Splendor after her sister returns completely changed. Juliette meets an illusionist named Henri and well, things happen from there.
Dark and Shallow Lies by Ginny Myers Sain | A girl disappears from her small town that’s eerily full of magic. This sounds like a perfect atmospheric fall read!
September 14th
The Corpse Queen by Heather Herrman | This basically follows a girl named Molly who is taken from the nunnery to live with her aunt in eighteenth century Philadelphia after her best friend is killed. Her aunt is involved in the corpse business, and as Molly helps her, she realizes that a killer is stalking Philadelphia. I really enjoyed parts of this, and how twisty it was.
Defy The Night by Brigid Kemmerer | From what I understand, this follows a kingdom torn apart by a sickness, a young prince forced to take the throne early, and a girl heading a rebellion.
September 21st
Daughters of a Dead Empire | AN ANASTASIA RETELLING. This follows Anna who must team up with a girl who believes in the revolution to flee Russia, as a commander tracks them with the intent to kill. I love the story of Anastasia with my whole heart and soul, so I’m incredibly excited for this!
The Bronzed Beasts by Roshani Chokshi | The ending of this trilogy might destroy me and I’m ready. That’s literally all I have to say excepting that I adore these covers.
September 28th
Lakesedge by Lyndall Clipstone | A gothic story about a girl who falls in love with a monster. I think. Either way, this sounds made for me.
As Good as Dead by Holly Jackson | The ending to another fantastic trilogy. I’m so excited for Pip’s final mystery, but I’m sad it’ll be the end.
Beasts of Prey by Ayana Gray | I just finished this book and wow, what a debut. This follows Koffi and Ekon, who team up to enter The Greater Jungle to hunt a cold-blooded killer creature named the Shetani.
Once Upon A Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber | JACKS. I am so, so excited for this start to a new trilogy following him because AGH.
So that’s it! What are your most anticipated September reads?
