Tag Tuesday: Top 5 Books With Creatures Gracing The Cover!

Who doesn’t love staring at covers? I have to admit, I never really thought about creatures on covers though! This was a topic that really made me think.

Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads.

I haven’t talked about this book in so long, but The Tea Dragon Festival has one of the cutest dragons ever on the cover. Katie O’Neill’s art style is just so perfect for portraying the tea dragons.

You know what goes really well with cute dragons? GOLDEN SNAKES. Especially when said golden snakes are wrapped around crimson roses and sharp swords.

I really love creative, artistic interpretations of animals on covers. Strange The Dreamer is a book that deals a lot with moths which are…not as beautiful as butterflies. However, the gold and the blue silhouettes of them are so, so gorgeous.

Speaking of butterflies, A Thousand Perfect Notes has an absolutely beautiful cover featuring one. And when you turn it over, you can match the wings up to another copy to create a complete butterfly! It’s design genius! Also, I forgot how good this book was until just now so…

I think that’s called a Royal Beast but don’t quote me and my bad memory on that. The Beast Player has the best of the best Studio Ghibli vibes, so obviously the cover has to reflect that little bit of magic too!

So that’s it! What’s a book you enjoy with a creature on the cover, either real or imaginary?
