Hi friends! I’m here to talk about books that I wish I could read for the first time again because sometimes the third time’s the charm, and sometime it’s the first. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads!
I haven’t reread this book…ever. All I remember is absolutely tearing through it and Crooked Kingdom and hyping up the Crows so much. However, some people have mentioned it being slow and I never thought it was slow. All I want is to be able to replicate the perfect mixture of plot and character and Kaz Brekker and freaking hilarious one-liners.
WHAT A BOOK. I mean, this is a mystery that twists! And turns! And then hits you upside the head with a legendary ending! Truly, any mystery-thriller isn’t going to be the same when you reread it, and I regret that I’ll never be able to experience for the first time again.
Mistborn has possibly the best written magic system I’ve ever read. On that note, the plot twists and infamous “Sanderlanche” left me absolutely, totally, and utterly speechless after every single book. I know I still haven’t read The Stormlight Archives but the Mistborn experience is, in my opinion, nearly impossible to replicate.
What’s real and what isn’t? What insanely creative, unprecedented event will happen next? Why does the air taste like cotton candy clouds and lost emerald forests? All of these questions are unfortunately now answered for me* and I really wish I could return to my days of ignorance.
*except for the last one. still a little lost on that one.
Yeah, this is predictable. But you know what they say: magic doesn’t strike twice. And this particular brand of magic lasted for seven glorious books and then changed vibes. I know that doesn’t make much sense but neither does the admittedly terrifying sensation of being addicted to the Wizarding World for the first time.
So that’s it! Tell me a book you wished you could read for the first time!

I agree with your points about Six of Crows. It’s one of my all-time faves but I havn’t reread it at all, which is surprising considering I reread books all the time.
Oh, the things I’d do to read the Six of Crows duology, The Raven Cycle, and All for the Game for the first time again.
Great post! ❤
