An Anticipated Underhyped Retelling Release! // a feminist snow white…?

Hi friends! I’m super excited to share with you one of my underhyped anticipated releases for the year!

If y’all remember, I really enjoyed Stepsister by Jennifer Donnelly. It was a super unique take on CInderella, from the perspective of a stepsister! So, I’m REALLY excited to see what she does with the tale of Snow White!

Snow White’s stepmother wanted to get rid of the beautiful stepdaughter who was challenging her title of ‘most beautiful’ – by any means necessary. Was Snow White poisoned? What happens to the poisoned, and the poisoner?

This is supposed to be a feminist take, so I’m hyped to see a not-so-damsel-in-distress Snow White retelling! You can add this to Goodreads here if you’d like.

Tell me:

Are you excited for this?

Do you have a favorite Snow White retelling?

  1. I haven’t read any Snow White retellings but I love the idea of a feminist take on the story. Thanks for bringing this book to my attention!

  3. I so can’t wait for this!! I think it’s going to be amazing. Do you think the author will write more? And have you read anything else by her?
Another Snow White retelling that I’m desperate to read is Girls Made Of Snow & Glass

      1. I hope so too. I’d love to see her take on other fairy tales 😍 and Beauty & The Beast would totally fit in to the cover styles with a rose one. Yeah me too, I have so many that I want to read. I loved it too. And I really want to read her Tea Rose series sometime.
        It does 😍
