Hi friends! I’m sorry this post is a little late, but at least it’s up now! Surprisngly, I finished THREE audiobooks in the month of March. I KNOW. I’m shocked too.
Books
Summer Bird Blue by Akemia Dawn Bowman | The first book I finished this month was a heavy contemporary, raw and real and emotional. This is about Rumi, a girl grieving from a horrible incident. She’s sent to Hawaii to live with her aunt, and we follow her struggle to overcome the crippling effects of it. Again, this was an absolutely incredible story with well developed characters. And I adored the emphasis on music! AND the gorgeous cover! 4/5 stars!
Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis | To be honest, I have almost no idea what went down in this book. I read it for school, wrote my worst paper of the year, and promptly decided that Narnia is far superior. Basically, this is about a guy named Ransom who is kidnapped to a planet to be sacrificed to the creatures to live there.
Malice by Pintip Dunn | This was the first book I got to read with the Dragons and Tea Book Club! Coincidentally, this book does deal with a virus, so please be wary of that. I actually really liked this one! It was a fast-paced sci-fi ride, with a really cool main character. This follows Alice, who is suddenly visited by a voice from the future telling her that someone at her school will invent a virus that wipes two-thirds of the population. So, she must stop them. Honestly, this was a solid read and I’m really happy that I read it! I beleive that this is OwnVoices for the Thai rep. 4/5 stars!
Every Reason We Shouldn’t by Sara Fujimara | I’m really thankful to Tor for sending me an ARC of this! In summary, this is about a Japanese-American teen who was on track to be an Olympic speed-skater but one mess-up sent her reeling. She meets a boy named Jonah, however, who helps her rediscover her love of speed-skating. To be honest…this book isn’t super memorable. Like I didn’t mind reading it but I wasn’t falling head over heels to get around to it you know? The romance felt rather insta-lovey, the characters a bit shallow, and the plot wasn’t super entertaining. 3/5 stars!
The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis | Another read for school! I can’t wait to reread this and actually enjoy and think on the ideas presented in this novel. I’m sure this will be a 5-star read when I’m reading it on my own terms and not for a paper lol. This is about a senior demon named Screwtape writing to a junior demon named Wormwood.
All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban | My final book for the month was…interesting. On the one hand, I was totally addicted and could NOT stop listening. I actually cared about all the characters to some extent. On the other hand…I predicted nearly everything. I go into depth in my review which should be up in a couple of days! So as of now, a 3.5/5 or 4/5 stars.
Movies
In summary: I can’t stop watching 10 Things I Hate About You (best scene: bleachers + can’t take my eyes off you). Creed was actually unexpectedly amazing and AH SO MANY FEELS. Frozen II I’ve somehow watched twice already and like: hello gorgeous animation, hilarious Olaf, and beautiful storyline. Outbreak was also surprisingly good and like PATRICK DEMPSEY. There were quite a lot of stars in this sadly relevant story about a virus.
Music
My playlist has basically been BTS with a side of musicals, Ariana Grande, and k-ballads. Plus Careless Whisper. And my friend sometimes makes me listen to Japanese deathmetal. I know, so wild.
Video Games

You all probably thought I’d say Animal Crossing, didn’t you? But unfortunately, I am lacking a Nintendo Switch. Otherwise, you’d better believe that I’d be getting into severe debt with Tom Nook right this instant. Anyways, I started hesitantly playing LoL and HELLO. This game is wayyyy more complex and takes way more skill and knowledge than I’ve ever realized.
So that’s it! I hope you all had an amazing month, tell me down below what your highlights were! I hope April treats you well!

I too am lacking a switch so I’ve thrown myself into playing Sims. The best part of my month was finally seeing Wicked 💗✨
