Hi friends! I’m back with another Tag Tuesday post, and we’re finishing up the authors theme! This has been a ton of fun, a huge thank you to Shanah for hosting Top 5 Tuesday as always!
This is my current read right now and I’m weirdly loving it??? This is Urban’s debut and like, it’s the classic Breakfast Club cast but with an Agatha Christie vibe. Also, the main character isn’t stupid AND is likable. Depending on if the ending goes “BADA BING BADA BOOM” and blows me away, I might have a new favorite YA thriller author!
Praag VAN Menna
The van totally counts right??? First of all, let’s all just scream about the cover. One of the most beautiful portrayals of the elements I’ve ever seen. Anyways, I really don’t know much about this book or the author other than it’s on my Goodreads to-read shelf. And it deals with the Sisters Grimm* who apparently each represent an element and need to discover their full potential to stop something bad. Um…you know what, here’s the link to the real synopsis.
*you don’t say, captain obvious
I think it’s time to throw it back to an old childhood favorite author! E.B. White wrote Charlotte’s Web, Stuart Little, and The Trumpet of the Swan. All three of those had such an impact on me, I honestly read them more times than I can count! Also, Charlotte’s Web is SUCH a tearjerker*. Like what the heck.
*if you disagree i’d highly suggest we meet for a cup of tea and some cookies while i read the book to you until you agree
Poor X, it always gets left out. Q and X deserve more rights.
Yoon, Nicola and Young, Adrienne
The Sun Is Also A Star is one of my favorite books of all-time. Brimming with diversity, tackling countless topics such as racism, immigration, and family expectations, this book really blew me away. I really do enjoy her stories. As for Adrienne Young, her sheer ability to write the most atmospheric of scenes still blows me away. While I was a bit disappointed by her sophomore novel, I’m head-over-heels excited for her next book which comes out this year!
Zdrok, Jodie Lynn
I really, really like Jodie’s stories. Historical fiction with a twist of magic is probably the best way to ever get me to read historical fiction. I can’t wait to read Sensational!
That’s it! I hope you enjoyed this post, please share your favorite reads by any of authors with these letters of if you’ve read any of these books!
