The NetGalley Book Tag!!

Hi friends! I know that I usually participate in Top 5 Tuesday but I kind of need to mix it up a bit to catch up on tags, so I hope y’all don’t mind! I was tagged by the lovely Jen @ nen and jen and I’m super excited so let’s get on with it!

Auto-Approved: Who’s one author whose books you automatically want to read, regardless of what they’re about?

Marissa Meyer for sure! I’m not the biggest fan of contemporary, but that’s what she’ll be writing next and I’m genuinely excited. I KNOW. She just has the best ships ever! I can also count on her having excellent diversity and representation in her books!

Request: What makes you want to request a book that you see on NetGalley?

Um…well to be honest a good synopsis, a pretty cover, and a lot of hype all contribute to my awful review ratio. I’m still working on my willpower.

Feedback Ratio: Do you review every book you read? If not, how do you decide what books to review?

I try to! I’m always in shock, and so grateful when I’m approved! Although sometimes, life just gets in the way and I’m not able to write as comprehensive of a review as I would like. But I try to at the very least write a “5 Reasons Why You Should Read This” post!

Badges: If you could create your own badge to display on your blog, what would it be for?

For actually completing a TBR. I don’t think I’ve ever completed a TBR in my life so um, that would be quite the accomplishment for me.

Wish for It: What’s one book that you are absolutely dying to read?

Probably my top 3 most anticipated releases for the rest of the year! I’m terrified but also can’t wait until their in my hands.

2016 NetGalley Challenge: What was the last book that you received as an ARC that you reviewed? If you’ve never received an ARC, what’s the last book you reviewed?

I really enjoyed this Clue mystery! It had all the enigmatic, secretive character drama and the all-important murder that I wanted!

I’m literally so late to doing this it’s not even funny haha. But if you haven’t done this and would like to, please consider yourself tagged!

  1. Great tag! Marissa Meyer is indeed such a great author and her ships are legendary! I can’t believe that I haven’t actually read Renegades nor Heartless yet?! And I’m also suuuuper excited for The Queen of Nothing! It’s going to be so sad to end this series! Happy reading!

  2. I still need to catch up on Marissa Meyers books but I love what I’ve read by her so far (The Lunar Chronciles and her short story from ‘Because You Love To Hate Me’. I’m also super excited for Queen Of Nothing!! I can not wait to see how it ends and I’ve ordered The Starless Sea into the library so fingers crossed that I was one of the first to do so and won’t have to wait too long 😅 I actually haven’t tried to use Netgalley yet; I’m kind of scared to. Hopefully soon though.

      1. It made me really want to get on with Heartless to see what she does with that retelling. Thank you, I hope you do too when you get a chance to read it. And thank you so much ❤️

  3. How did I miss this post? I’ve just realised it went to spam for some crazy reason! I’m so sorry! I’ve been wanting to try Marissa Meyer’s writing for a LONG while now… especially Renegades which I got out from the library but then ran out of time to read. Hopefully I can give it another try soon 😀 Jen
