Most Anticipated June 2019 Releases!

Hi friends! I’ve highkey been out of the book world so long I didn’t know half of my most anticipated books got cover reveals*. So obviously, I have no clue of 90% of what’s coming out in June BUT I have been waiting for a few, so let us begin!

*for example: the queen of nothing, supernova, the toll…

June 5

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson | I tried requesting an e-ARC of this but was (unsurprisingly) denied so yeah. BUT this has libraries! And magic! And I’m pretty sure enemies-to-lovers! I haven’t read the author’s first novel yet but that’s fine. I’m not a procrastinator*cough cough*.

Modern Faerie Tales by Holly Black | Have I read any of the Modern Faerie Tale books? No. Did I put this on here just because the cover was pretty and matched the Folk of the Air series? Um…noooo. But really this cover is pretty and I’ve been meaning to read Holly Black so good timing!

Ghosts of the Shadow Market by Many Authors | SHADOWHUNTERS SHORT STORIES. if you know me what else do i need to say.

The Rest of the Story by Sarah Dessen | Guess who still hasn’t read a Sarah Dessen book but is constantly putting her books on their TBR??? I’m assuming you guessed correctly. Anyways, summer is officially “cute contemporary” or “mysterious mystery*” season and I kinda need to take one of those to the beach so this book is anticipated by me!

*i got carried away by alliteration

June 11

The Language of Fire by Stephanie Hemphill | Supposedly, this is written in verse and is about Joan of Arc’s life. A combination I never knew I wanted or needed.

Teeth in the Mist by Dawn Kurtagich | YA horror is something that has literally never scared me. I REALLY WANT TO BE SCARED OKAY IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK. But this one sounds promisingly dark and creepy and fantastical.

June 25

Wicked Fox by Kat Cho | “A fresh and addictive fantasy-romance set in modern-day Seoul.” HELLO. WHY WASN’T I INFORMED THIS EXISTED EARLIER. This looks like it will have incredible representation, and mythological influences!!!!

Call It What You Want by Brigid Kemmerer | Didn’t this author just release a fantasy not too long ago??? That’s some impressive writer’s magic right there. Anyways, this sounds really good and again: SUMMER CONTEMPORARY.

So that’s it! What are you most anticipating??? Have you heard of any of these???

  6. I’m intrigued to read Sorcery of Thorns, mostly for its beautiful cover. 😛 (I’m sorry you got denied though! I hate it when that happens to me lol.) Language of Fire sounds fantastic btw; a story of Joan of Arc written in verse is something I didn’t know I needed either. 😉 Excellent list! ❤

  8. wait. WAIT. Teeth in the Mist is out THIS MONTH?? omg, I just checked Goodreads and it’s in 10 days, YAAAAAS. Australian releases are often behind international releases and I didn’t think to check online, because it comes out here in like, August, so I’m super excited that I can get my hands on it sooner!
