Tag Tuesday: Top 5 Books That Have Cinematic Potential!

Hi friends! My rather wordy title basically translates to “books I want to be movies”. So let’s do this! And if you want to join in, this is hosted by Shanah @ Bionic Bookworm!

The potential is there.

I know there’s a LOT of issues with this book, but I feel like this would have such a weird fantasy superhero appeal? I wouldn’t even mind if they changed some things around, just as long as they kept the major plot and all of my friends were screaming at the end of the movie. Because that plot twist.

ALRIGHT. If you’ve read my review, you know that I rambled on and on and ON about how cinematic Holly’s writing is. I’d be so interested to see her screenwriting skills! But despite the somewhat slow first half, I feel like this would be so intense and can really showcase the cruelty and beauty of the fae. LET’S GET THIS ADAPTATION NETFLIX.

This reads like a movie. I mean, if we sorta gloss over how Ready Player One deviated from the book (or so I’ve heard), then we can do so much with video games and skateboarders and virtual reality!

I gotta get away from the fantasy but THIS COULD BE THE NEXT HARRY POTTER. Just kidding, nothing can replace Harry Potter for me but Nevermoor did a thing. The magic, the nostalgia, the world – it would play out beautifully as a kid’s movie.

Okay this might be cheating because this is going to be a movie, but I DON’T CARE. Honestly, if they do it right, this could be a tour de force*. Romance but with a sort of emotional depth that looks at the complexities of humanity and relationships is exactly what I want from a movie.

*is it bad I only vaugely know what that expression means

So that’s it! What’s a book you want to be adapted into a movie???
