Hi friends! I’m your friendly neighborhood turkey ad here to wish you a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
yes I did use a Friends GIF despite only having ever seen…none of it
I’m so thankful to God for my family, friends, books, nature, it would probably-take-up-an-entire-blog-to-count-what-I’m-thankful-for, and I’m so happy we have a day to celebrate what we’re grateful for! And I hope that wherever you are, you are behaving like Ron Swanson.
I saw this tag @ Book Coma! Now onto the questions!!!
Bread: What book is purely fluff, and has no real plot line?
I did enjoy this book but it didn’t have much of a plot. Like, the entire time things would happen but there was no over-arching theme. Maybe I’m just too much of a fantasy junkie at this point.
Turkey: What book made you want to fall asleep?
LOL I actually did fall asleep reading this. I mean, I was tired but if I were actually reading something interesting the sleep wouldn’t have overtaken me. But this is seriously one of the worst books I’ve ever read. I can physically feel the horror rising in me at the thought of this.
Gravy: What book makes the whole series worth reading?
I love all of the Lunar Chronicles books to death but Cress just might be my favorite. Cresswell, all the other ships, crazy revelations, Iko, everything comes to perfection in this novel. I’d honestly recommend reading the other books just to get to this one!
Stuffing: What book is stuffed full of action scenes?
This entire series is chock-full of action and adventure! I’m constantly on the edge of my seat because everywhere there’s nothing but excitement. All the time.
Mashed Potatoes: What book looked good, and then wasn’t?
I mean, three girls who have to kill each other to be queen? Each with different abilities??? It sounded like my idea of a perfect book. AND THEN: DEATH. If you’ve been around for a while, you probably know I really disliked this book and have zero interest in continuing on.
Cranberries: What book has the sweetest romance?
SO CUTE. Like, it gave me all the inspirational, fuzzy fangirl feels. I am actually obsessed with the cuteness!
Corn: What’s the corniest book you’ve ever read?
I actually DNF’d this because it was that corny. Despite the characters being 16 and 17, they spoke like twelve year olds??? And the humor felt so forced and awkward, I was cringing the entire time.
Green beans: What book is too long and needs to be shortened?
Too much Mesiwhatshisname and not enough mystery. So many parts could have just been cut out and it would have been a much better, more concise book. Let’s be honest: we all raged at some point because reasons*.
*cough Audrey Rose cough cough
Pumpkin Pie: What book do you read to get out of a reading slump?
I know, I know. I just read the Shadowhunter books this year but I can already tell they will be books I read to get out of a slump! And Harry Potter is actual magic so yeah.
So that’s it! I hope you all have a fun and safe Thanksgiving! Go stuff yourselves silly!!
