The Night Circus! Look, I’m all for dreamy, atmospheric writing and a beautifully structured plot to complement it but it just went on. And on. And on and on and on AND PLEASE JUST GIVE ME SOME MAGIC-LADEN ACTION OKAY?!?!?!

Come Alive | In Which There’s A Nice Plot Twist

Nice? As in made me happy? I didn’t know those existed…but let’s just go with all of those amazing plot twists in The Cruel Prince. I mean, I was pretty happy about some of them (cough cough that twist in the end) and need The Wicked King RIGHT NOW.

The Other Side | In Which A Villain Turns Into A Good Guy or Vice Versa

I don’t know many books like this but does City of Glass count? No more details because spoilers but wow. 

Never Enough | In Which You Hate The Love Triangle

Twilight. No, I’m actually not joking I hate both Edward and Bella*. And before you dismiss me as a Twilight hater, I just want to say that I did enjoy what I read! But the love triangle was just so overdone.

*I meant Jacob but I strongly dislike Bella too

• This Is Me | In Which Representation Is Amazing

Mammoth! My goodness, there’s so much fantastic underrated rep in here it kills me. We seriously need more women in STEM featured in books!!

Rewrite The Stars | In Which It’s ‘Us Against The World’ [Not Necessarily Romantic]

THE CROWS. If there were ever any group who had to adapt and change according to their horrible lives, it would be these convicts with a thirst for revenge (and one cinnamon roll who randomly ended up here).

Tightrope | In Which The Love Triangle Took A Wrong Turn

Can we just all admit that the entire Selection love triangle was ridiculous? I mean, clearly Maxon was the best and he deserved the world.

From Now On | In Which The Main Character Only Gets Their Stuff Together In The End

Me. Hahaha just kidding I’d actually have to go with Lily from When Elephants Fly! Her fear of acquiring schizophrenia completely took over her life but we slowly watch her development as the novel progresses.
