Hi friends! I know what you’re thinking: why are you participating in Top 10 Tuesday instead of Top 5 Tuesday this week? Well it’s basically because half my friends are in a reading slump and even though I’ve *cough doggedly* pointed them towards my hopefully helpful post How To Get Out Of A Reading Slump they still need my bookworm hand to pull them out from the throes of death (nice job Kaya you strung some words together to form a real sentence wow if only you could do that all the time). Now if you’ll excuse me inner voice, it’s time to … Continue reading Tag Tuesday: Books To Get You Out Of A Reading Slump
Hi friends! Today I’m here with another discussion post, and today’s topic is one that is also being discussed by my amazing blogger friend Ruqs, so go check her and her awesome blog out! So. This may be a bit of a controversial post but I personally think it’s important. Why? Because reading is supposed to be enjoyable FOR EVERYONE. Let’s think up a quick scenario: someone picks up a YA book in a bookstore. It looks absolutely fantastic, and right up their alley! And it’s YA, so it can’t be too bad right? When the person gets home and … Continue reading Content in YA | “Let’s Talk About That…”

Hi friends! That title was long and convoluted but somehow made sense when I was writing it. Today we’re doing one of my favorite memes hosted by the wonderful Dani @ Perspective of A Writer which is I Heart Characters! Today’s topic is Creature You’d Want To Adopt, and confession: my mind immediately jumped to one creature in particular (make your guesses in the comments below before you read on!*) and the lucky winner is… *that’s assuming you missed the giant GIF I innocently displayed SO CUTE. A Niffler is sneaky and goes after gold and is almost as adorable as Newt … Continue reading I Heart Characters | You Sneaky…oh wait you brought me gold WE’RE RICH!
Hi friends! I have a mini-review for you today. Because school books. 3/5 Huskies Two Sentence Synopsis Buck is a dog. Buck gets put into the wild with sled people. My Thoughts It was actually quite violent which I was rather surprised by. It definitely added an element of suspense since you never knew who would wind up dead. I felt like the end and the beginning lagged quite a bit but for some reason the middle was relatively entertaining. Somewhat. There were some interesting themes of justice and society, very thought-provoking. So that’s it! This is short but … Continue reading The Call of the Wild Mini-Review |Well, I Wasn’t Expecting That…
Hi friends! I’m here for another Top 5 Tuesday, hosted by the amazing Shanah @ Bionic Bookworm so go check her awesome blog out! The reason I put better in quotation marks is because I’m that weird boring Gryffinpuff who’s always for the hero and morals. BUT I will admit I like quite a few antagonists so let’s do this! Sebastian (I’m sorry!) I KNOW WHAT HE DID IN CITY OF GLASS AND YES I HATE HIM FOR IT. But there’s something undeniably…interesting? Intriguing? SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE-Y??? On second thought I don’t really know why I like him. Maybe it’s … Continue reading Tag Tuesday: Top 5 Villains Who Are “Better” Than The Hero

And as a heads up, there will be spoilers for the first four books in this series so you have been warned! 5/5 Angel Swords Two Sentence Synopsis Jace and Sebastian are now officially tied together, and the Scooby-Shadowhunter gang has to find a way to save Jace and kill … Continue reading City of Lost Souls Review | I Actually Loved It?
Hi friends! Thank you so much Jacquie @ Rattle The Stars for tagging me! Go check her fantastic blog out!! Now to the questions and my answers: Sunshine: A Book That Made You Smile Wait there are books that could make me smile? I DIDN’T HAVE TO BE SOBBING THIS ENTIRE TIME?? Seriously though, I’ll have to go with my classic Geekerella answer for this (one day my love of darkness and magic will disappear long enough for me to read a cute contemporary) BECAUSE IT PRACTICALLY DEFINES CUTE FANDOM LOVE.
