Hi friends! I have a mini-review for you today. Because school books.
3/5 Huskies
Two Sentence Synopsis
Buck is a dog. Buck gets put into the wild with sled people.
My Thoughts
- It was actually quite violent which I was rather surprised by. It definitely added an element of suspense since you never knew who would wind up dead.
- I felt like the end and the beginning lagged quite a bit but for some reason the middle was relatively entertaining. Somewhat.
- There were some interesting themes of justice and society, very thought-provoking.
So that’s it! This is short but hopefully you enjoyed! See ya soon, au revoir!
When I start it I was so surprised because I expected it to be sooo boring like I found White Fang but really it was very interesting and a quick and fun read. Whereas White Fang I had to read for school and I ended up force-reading it the night before for 4 hours straight… sadness XD

I reread this for my book club last year. We had a great discussion around it but I was really sad by all the dog violence.

I agree. I felt like all the abuse and such was unnecessary, I’d rather the plot be furthered in a different way.

Hmm, now I’m curious what the violence is about! Books with animals aren’t that scary, at least in my experience…. 🤔

There was a lot of dog violence, which I wasn’t particularly happy about. There was also a lot of abuse.
