Biannual Bibliothon Day 3 Wrap Up And Mini Review of The Wicked Deep

Hi friends! HOW IS IT ALREADY DAY THREE?! Who do I have to talk to to get more time??? Anyway, what happened today?

Uh…I did yoga. Is there an online badge for that somewhere? Cleaned a bit, watched some Booktube, stared at the mountains of gorgeous ARCS people posted on Instagram (jealous? Why would you say that? *starts sweating*) and listened to precisely 25 more minutes of Gemina!

I Also Finished THE WICKED DEEP!

5/5 Forgetful Cakes

I read about 60 more pages last night, and read the remaining 140 today! WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME IT WOULD BREAK MY HEART?! I actually wasn’t even going to pick this one up until I saw it was the BiBib group book pick! Even then, it still wasn’t a priority but then I just sorta got the urge to check it out? And I loved it.

Three Reasons Why I Loved It:

1. SO ATMOSPHERIC. It was incredibly easy to picture everything that was happening. The author’s writing style didn’t really feel that different, but I’m pretty sure there was some magic in there because her words painted a picture.

2. PLOT TWISTSSSSSS are the worst. Honestly, a big twist crossed my mind at the beginning of the book but flew off into who knows where by the middle. THERE WERE SO MANY FANTASTIC TWISTS!!!

3. ALMOST EVERYTHING ELSE. The plot was addictive, the characters were amazing, and that ending. I’m destroyed. My main complaint is actually the romance, however. I just wasn’t sensing any sparks, even though I understood more and more the need for it. Still, I wasn’t a big fan.

What Will I Pick Up Next?

Well. Um. I have a bit of a confession to make: I made an Instagram story between Truthwitch and Thunderhead, and y’all chose Thunderhead. I’ve been so excited to pick it up until about fifteen minutes ago when I started listening to Oceans by Khalid and Martin Garrix…which put me in the mood for a Shadowhunter read. I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DOOOOOOO. Both Clockwork Prince and Thunderhead are my predicted 5 star reads so I’m hoping I’ll love what I read either way?

What do you think I should read? Have any of you read The Wicked Deep? Catch ya later, au revoir!
